Travel to Korea

What should I know about Korea's medical tourism regulations?

Outcomes and side effects vary from person to person. Bleeding, infection, swelling and asymmetry may occur. Please consult our medical team before making a decision.

Korea regulates foreign patient care through its Medical Service Act, which requires clinics treating international patients to be officially registered as a Healthcare Provider for international patients with the Korean government. This registration confirms that a clinic has met specific standards for patient safety, record-keeping, and dedicated support for non-Korean-speaking patients.

Our clinic is officially certified by the Seoul Metropolitan Government as a Healthcare Provider for international patients (Registration No. M-2024-01-08-7821). In practical terms, this means our international patient program has been formally reviewed and approved, not just self-described — it's the same kind of verification you'd want to see before choosing a clinic anywhere.

Consultation Tip

It's reasonable to ask any clinic you're considering whether they're officially registered as a foreign patient-attracting institution, and to ask for their registration number — a reputable clinic will share this without hesitation.

What follows is general guidance. The actual cause and surgical approach are decided only after an internal examination, a CT scan and a review of your previous surgical history.
