How is a deviated nose corrected?
Surgery that straightens the bent bridge line and, when the septum is also deviated, corrects nasal obstruction too. The director personally checks both appearance and function.
Who this is for
- A bridge that tilts so the face's center line looks off
- A nose that bent after a childhood or sports injury
- A deviated nose with one side often blocked, or snoring

A nose can deviate for many reasons, but facial-bone asymmetry often shows up in the nose as well, so the two frequently come together.
Correcting only the outside is not the end — the force pulling it crooked again remains inside, so the septum must be corrected together.
Deviated noses often come with functional problems, so septal deviation or rhinitis treatment is frequently combined.
Honestly, making a deviated nose perfectly symmetrical is difficult — no face is perfectly symmetrical. And if the facial skeleton is already asymmetric, the nose can look off relative to the face. The goal is a bridge line that appears to match the face's center line.
Even if a slight bend remains, matching the tip especially well keeps the impression from looking skewed.
However, if your nasal bone was once fractured, the bones may be misaligned and need osteotomy to straighten. Unlike a hump nose, a deviated nose is occasionally a case where osteotomy is the right choice.

How the surgery works
STEP 01
Straighten the deviated bridge line; osteotomy if the bones are displaced
STEP 02
Combine septal correction for a deviated septum (performed by the director himself)
STEP 03
Bridge augmentation and tip correction tidy the front center line
Recovery
Recovery varies slightly depending on the scope of surgery and combined techniques. Below is the typical course.
- Day 5
Stitch removal
Stitches are removed on day 5.
- 1–2 weeks
Bruising around eyes
With osteotomy, bruising around the eyes may remain for 1–2 weeks.
- A few weeks
Congestion improving
Nasal congestion gradually improves over several weeks as swelling subsides.
- 2 months
No nose blowing, pressing, or glasses
To keep the corrected axis stable, avoid blowing your nose, pressing the bridge, and wearing glasses for 2 months.
