Why we built the signature procedures

The concerns we met most often in the consulting room were not simply about raising the bridge. Surgery that leaves the cause in place does not last, so we designed separate operations that address the cause first.

Problem 1

A tip that drops again when you smile

Tip surgery that only reshapes cartilage leaves the pull of the depressor muscle intact, so the tip can droop again over time. Correcting the muscle behind it is what makes a line that holds even when you smile.

Problem 2

A profile that reads as a protruding mouth

The impression of a forward mouth leads people to consider two-jaw or anterior segmental surgery, which is a heavy commitment. Correcting the nasolabial angle together with the columella (ACR) line can change the profile through rhinoplasty alone.

Problem 3

Threads that stay and cause trouble

Threads sold as dissolvable often remain for years, causing inflammation, extrusion and deformity. They and any foreign material must be removed safely, with the revision that follows planned as one continuous design.

A tip that drops when you smile, an arrow nose, a long nose — the cause is the muscle pulling the tip down. At KOWON we correct the depressor muscle itself, for a tip line that does not relapse.

A protruding-mouth look, solved through rhinoplasty

Change the impression of the mouth area without protrusion surgery. A KOWON signature operation correcting the nasolabial angle and the ACR (columella–philtrum line) to complete the profile as a J-curl.

Safely resolving the complications of nose thread lifts — inflammation, extrusion and contracture. We remove the threads and foreign material in one procedure and, where needed, plan the revision rhinoplasty alongside it.
