TERMS OF USE

Terms of Use

Terms governing the use of the KOWON Plastic Surgery Clinic website.

This is a reference translation. The Korean original is the legally binding version; where the two differ, the Korean text prevails.

Article 1 (Purpose)

These terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the services provided on the website (kowonps.com, "the Website") operated by KOWON Plastic Surgery Clinic ("the Clinic"), together with the rights, obligations and responsibilities of users and of the Clinic.

Article 2 (Definitions)

  • "User" means a person who accesses the Website and uses the services provided by the Clinic under these terms.
  • "Service" means all services provided through the Website, including information about the Clinic and its medical staff, treatment guidance, online consultation requests and access to content.
  • "Consultation request" means a user's request for a medical consultation through the Website's request form or a linked channel.

Article 3 (Effect and amendment of these terms)

These terms take effect when posted on the Website. The Clinic may amend them within the limits of applicable law, and amended terms take effect from the moment they are announced on the Website. A user who does not agree to the amended terms may discontinue use of the services.

Article 4 (Provision and modification of services)

  • Information about the Clinic, its medical staff, its specialities and its opening hours
  • Receiving online consultation requests and providing appointment guidance
  • Providing informational content on rhinoplasty (columns, videos and so on)
  • The content of the services may be changed or suspended according to the Clinic's circumstances; significant changes will be announced on the Website.

Article 5 (Nature and limits of the medical information provided)

  • Information about procedures and operations posted on the Website is general information intended to aid understanding, and cannot replace a doctor's diagnosis or prescription. Whether a procedure is appropriate, how it would be performed, the expected outcome and the possible side effects must be confirmed through an in-person consultation and examination at the Clinic.
  • The effect of an operation or procedure and the recovery period vary from person to person, and side effects such as bleeding, infection, swelling and asymmetry may occur.

Article 6 (Consultation requests and appointments)

  • Online consultation requests are handled in the order received, and we respond using the contact details provided.
  • A consultation request alone does not confirm an appointment; an appointment is confirmed through a follow-up call from the Clinic.
  • Use of the services may be restricted where a request is made with false information or using another person's personal data.

Article 7 (User obligations)

  • Users must not misappropriate another person's personal data or register false information.
  • Users must not infringe the intellectual property rights, reputation or credit of the Clinic or any third party.
  • Users must not interfere with the stable operation of the Website (for example by making bulk requests through automated tools).
  • Users must comply with applicable law, these terms and the service guidance provided.

Article 8 (Intellectual property)

Copyright and other intellectual property rights in the content posted on the Website (text, images, video, design and so on) belong to the Clinic or to the rightful owner. Users may not reproduce, transmit, publish, distribute or broadcast the content, or otherwise use it for commercial purposes, without the Clinic's prior written consent.

Article 9 (Disclaimer)

  • The Clinic is released from liability where it cannot provide the services due to force majeure, such as a natural disaster or a communications failure.
  • The Clinic is not liable for disruption to the services caused by the user's own fault.
  • Content and personal data handling on external sites linked from the Website (maps, messengers, social media and so on) are governed by the policies of their respective operators.

Article 10 (Dispute resolution and jurisdiction)

Where a dispute arises between the Clinic and a user in connection with the services, both parties shall endeavour to resolve it through good-faith discussion. A dispute not resolved by discussion may be brought before the competent court under the Civil Procedure Act; in the case of a medical dispute, mediation may be sought from the Korea Medical Dispute Mediation and Arbitration Agency under the Act on Remedies for Injuries from Medical Malpractice and Mediation of Medical Disputes.
