Can family members or companions stay with me during recovery?

Outcomes and side effects vary from person to person. Bleeding, infection, swelling and asymmetry may occur. Please consult our medical team before making a decision.

A

Yes, absolutely — many international patients travel with a family member, partner, or friend, and having someone with you during the first few days of recovery can genuinely make things easier, both practically and emotionally.

There are no restrictions on companions staying with you at your accommodation, and they're welcome to accompany you to the clinic for your consultation and follow-up visits. And while you're actually in surgery, your companion doesn't just wait in an unknown state — we offer real-time CCTV access to the operating room, so they can watch the procedure live from the waiting area rather than simply sitting with no information.

Consultation Tip

If your companion would like to sit in on your consultation itself, just let us know in advance — Dr. Kim is happy to have them present if it helps you feel more comfortable.
