KOWON RHINOPLASTY GUIDE
What to check before a rhinoplasty consultation
Prepare your goals, breathing symptoms, health and surgery history, and questions about safety, limitations and aftercare.
A useful consultation is not only about choosing a shape. It should review your external goals, breathing, nasal structure, medical and surgical history, realistic limits and the recovery plan.
What this guide covers
01
Separate appearance goals from functional symptoms
Write down what concerns you from the front, profile and when smiling. Separately note nasal blockage, mouth breathing, previous injury and when each symptom began.
Mayo Clinic notes that planning may consider facial proportions, nasal skin, internal and external anatomy, and the possible effect on breathing.
02
Bring a complete health and procedure history
Share prior nasal procedures, trauma, allergies, bleeding conditions, current medicines and supplements. For revision consultations, bring operation dates, known materials, photographs and records when available.
- What you want to change and what you want to preserve
- Previous operations, injections, threads or implants
- Medicines, supplements, smoking or vaping history
03
Ask about the care system, not only the technique
Confirm who plans and performs the operation, how anesthesia and emergencies are managed, how risks apply to you, and whom to contact during recovery. Ask why the proposed technique and material fit your anatomy and what they cannot achieve.
04
Treat simulations as a discussion tool
Photographs or simulations can clarify direction but cannot guarantee a result. Skin thickness, cartilage support and individual healing cannot be represented completely on a screen.
