short nose correction: KOWON Plastic Surgery 's know-how for precise shaping, from nasal bridge height to nasal tip support.

Published

Hello, this is Director Hyung-taek Kim KOWON Plastic Surgery .

The case we are looking at today had a low nasal bridge overall and appeared to have little volume in the nose, and nasal tip also appeared short and weak, making the overall three-dimensionality of the face look flat.

When there is a lack of three-dimensionality like this, it is important to adopt a short nose surgery perspective that firmly reinforces the structure supporting nasal tip , rather than simply lifting the line.

Considering the overall facial proportions, I naturally raised the height of nasal bridge while simultaneously delicately shaping the line of nasal tip , which previously appeared short.

Rather than simply raising nasal bridge , establishing a sturdy nasal tip support is key to enhancing the overall quality.

After tying nasal tip cartilage to refine the contour and placing a sturdy support between the cartilages, the shape and height were refined to maintain stability for a long time.

In addition, I fine-tuned the line from nasal bridge to nasal tip so that it flows naturally.

Refining the angle formed by columella and nasolabial angle along with the philtrum line brings the entire mid-face to a more sophisticated look.

By shaping the ratio of the philtrum and nasolabial angle to be balanced in this way, the effect of short nose surgery was maximized, resulting in a clean improvement with a three-dimensional and neat impression.

This time, I would like to introduce a case where the patient was stressed because nostril wing was widely spread and nasal tip appeared slightly upturned.

It was a type where the skin tissue was relatively thick and asymmetry was observed due to the asymmetrical nasal tip .

For this type, where the skin is thick and nasal tip is short, it is most important to formulate a short nose surgery plan that carefully balances the overall shape rather than simply reducing the shape.

Accordingly, KOWON Plastic Surgery properly recentered nasal tip that was off-center and utilized silicone to create a natural three-dimensional effect in nasal bridge , tailored to the facial proportions.

At the same time, we meticulously refined the widely spread nostril wing area to create an overall slim and smooth contour.

The incision site, where scarring is a concern, was delicately executed to naturally align with the existing alar base / nostril wing crease, enhancing the overall finish to ensure it is barely noticeable externally.

As a result, the particularly noticeable asymmetry and loose feeling were neatly tidied up, and a neat line that is not excessive was completed.

As such, when performing short nose surgery, applying customized corrections by precisely analyzing each individual's skin thickness and asymmetry allows for a much softer and more sophisticated impression while minimizing the burden of scarring.

[A word from the Director]

Precisely analyzing individual skin thickness and asymmetry to firmly establish nasal tip support is the key to a natural look and long-lasting results.

To achieve satisfactory results in short nose surgery, it is not simply about lengthening the nose; satisfactory results can be obtained by comprehensively considering the internal structure of nasal tip , nostril wing ratio, and the overall three-dimensionality of the face.

Based on extensive clinical experience and precise 1:1 customized diagnosis, KOWON Plastic Surgery minimizes the burden of scarring and completes sophisticated lines that best complement your natural facial features.
