The case I will show you this time involved a patient whose nasal bridge and nasal tip were generally low, and the overall size of the nose was small, giving a cute and youthful impression.
However, because the nose, which is located at the center of the face, lacked sufficient height and three-dimensionality, the overall facial impression appeared somewhat flat.
These days, when consulting about rhinoplasty, rather than simply raising the nose as in the past, many people want a 'natural yet refined nose' that emphasizes harmonious balance and refines even the detailed aspects.
I also tend to consider how much presence the nose should have within the entire face, rather than just increasing its height. This is because it is important to create a structure and shape that matches the facial proportions without excessive changes.
After comprehensively considering these aspects, I set the nasal bridge at an appropriate height so it would not look awkward in the overall facial proportions, and for the nasal tip, I performed nasal tip cartilage repositioning and cartilage suturing to stabilize its shape.
Additionally, I placed a support between the nasal tip cartilages to maintain the height and direction of the nasal tip.

I also considered the line connecting the columella, nasolabial angle, and philtrum, ensuring that the flow from the nasal tip to the area around the mouth would be natural.
As such, in small nose surgery, it is important to look at the parts connected to the overall facial proportions, rather than simply changing the size or height.
As a result, the original cute and youthful impression was maintained, while the nose gained more three-dimensionality. Through small nose surgery, the case achieved a clearer and more refined look, naturally organizing into a feminine and pretty, cute image.

A similar case worth referencing involved a nose that was short in length, had a rounded nasal tip, and the alar base / nostril wings were widely spread to both sides.
Especially when viewed from the front, the nasal tip was tilted to one side, creating asymmetry, so simply raising the nasal bridge would not have been enough to achieve overall balance.
