Today, I would like to talk about a patient whose nasal tip was upturned, exposing the nostrils (upturned nose), and at the same time, the nasal tip drooped downward, making the nose appear long. Additionally, the patient had a flat forehead that sloped slightly backward, so the line connecting the forehead, glabella, and nasal bridge was not smooth, resulting in an overall lack of three-dimensionality.
In such cases, rather than only correcting the nasal tip, it is important to consider the direction and overall length of the nasal tip, as well as the line extending from the forehead, to achieve overall facial balance.
Especially for those who want a glamorous yet natural 'jaryeoko' (a refined, natural nose style), if the face is thin and flat without volume, even a beautifully shaped nose can look out of place and awkward. The more refined the nose style, the more the forehead volume and nasolabial angle line must be three-dimensional for a natural and harmonious appearance.

In this surgery, we used nasal tip cartilage repositioning and cartilage suturing to stably lower the previously upturned direction, and placed a firm support between the nasal tip cartilages to structurally reinforce the tip and prevent future drooping.
Through this, the exposure of the nostrils was naturally reduced, and the overall impression was improved to be more attractive.
Additionally, by performing columella correction and nasolabial angle correction together, we refined the line from the nasal bridge to the tip and down to the philtrum, ensuring a much smoother and more sophisticated profile.
By also performing forehead fat grafting to add volume to the previously flat forehead, we achieved a natural height without excessively raising the nasal bridge, resulting in a refined nose design that harmonized well with the face as if it were the patient's original nose.
Rather than simply changing the shape of the nose, we created changes that brought out the contours and three-dimensionality of the entire face.

The subject of this case had an upturned nose with a short and raised nasal tip, exposing the nostrils quite a bit when viewed from the front. In addition, the overall nasal bridge was low, giving the face a flat and plain impression.
