In many countries, functional nasal surgery (addressing breathing) is classified differently from purely cosmetic surgery for insurance and medical documentation purposes, since it's treating a medical condition rather than an aesthetic preference. However, insurance coverage policies vary enormously by country and provider, and this is not something we can determine on our end.

What we can help with is documentation: if your surgery includes a functional component, Dr. Kim can provide medical documentation describing the diagnosis (such as a deviated septum) and the functional nature of that portion of your procedure, which you can then submit to your insurance provider back home to determine whether any reimbursement applies.
