Consultation & Candidacy

Can I get a second opinion if I've already consulted elsewhere?

Published

Outcomes and side effects vary from person to person. Bleeding, infection, swelling and asymmetry may occur. Please consult our medical team before making a decision.

A

Of course. Many patients — both domestic and international — come to Dr. Kim specifically for a second opinion, particularly for complex or revision cases where they want another experienced perspective before deciding.

If you bring records or imaging from a previous consultation elsewhere, Dr. Kim will review them alongside his own examination, and give you his independent assessment — including if it happens to align closely with what you were told before, or if he sees the situation differently.

Consultation Tip

Bring as much documentation as possible from your previous consultation — CT scans, photos, and written notes all help Dr. Kim form a more complete and accurate second opinion.

What follows is general guidance. The actual cause and surgical approach are decided only after an internal examination, a CT scan and a review of your previous surgical history.
