Travel to Korea

What's the best time of year to travel to Korea for rhinoplasty?

Published

Outcomes and side effects vary from person to person. Bleeding, infection, swelling and asymmetry may occur. Please consult our medical team before making a decision.

A

There's no medically "best" season for rhinoplasty itself — surgery and healing proceed the same way year-round, and Dr. Kim performs the procedure with the same precision regardless of season.

That said, seasonal comfort is worth considering for your trip. Spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October) offer mild, pleasant weather that makes walking around during recovery more comfortable. Summer in Seoul is hot and humid, which some patients find less pleasant while wearing a splint, and winter is cold and dry, though easily managed with appropriate clothing.

Consultation Tip

If you're sensitive to heat and humidity, spring or autumn may make your recovery week more comfortable — but don't let seasonal preference delay a surgery date that otherwise works well for you.
