Does a famous rhinoplasty clinic always fit you? — three criteria: custom design, CCTV access, and materials

Why fame alone can't decide a rhinoplasty clinic, and three things to check — whether it's custom design that reads face shape·skin·muscles, whether OR CCTV is installed and viewable, whether materials are chosen by distinguishing cases needing rib cartilage.

Key points

  • A clinic with many reviews and fame is a different claim from a clinic doing surgery that fits your face.
  • Three things to check — ① custom design that reads face shape·skin·muscle, ② whether OR CCTV is installed and viewable, ③ whether materials are chosen by distinguishing cases needing rib cartilage.
  • Where silicone·ear cartilage alone have limits (revision, thick skin, weak support structure), autologous rib cartilage can become the needed material.

"I don't want it to look artificial — I want to hear that I look naturally prettier. Still, I'd like it higher."

That's what most people say when we first meet in the consultation room. Naturalness and height — satisfying both at once is one of the hardest parts of rhinoplasty. Easy to say, but realizing it requires both the design side and the anatomical side to back it up.

So in this article, I want to focus on what criteria to use when looking for a rhinoplasty clinic — including around Sinsa Station — so you won't regret the choice.

01

Is a famous clinic automatically safe?

When weighing nose surgery, the first criterion many look for is a famous place. Lots of reviews, lots of blog posts, influencers having visited — it somehow feels more trustworthy and the results seem likely to be good.

But being famous and knowing the form that fits your face are entirely different things. Some designs are standardized, or cases proceed without sufficient consultation under tight schedules. Some places repeat a fixed mold rather than considering each person's face shape, skin state, and muscle movement.

The nose isn't a part where changing height alone finishes the job. It's delicate work that determines the whole face's impression and mood, and results can differ even with the same material and technique. Only by weighing composite factors — face shape, skin thickness, expression, muscle, distance from eyes·mouth — can you get closer to the result you want.

02

Criterion 1 — do they design fresh each time?

The first criterion is custom design. To hear "you got prettier without it being obvious" without harming each person's unique mood, sufficient time must go into structural design and design.

That's why we perform at most 2 surgeries a day. More cases would raise revenue, but maintaining high quality each time requires securing unlimited time per person. Some say "the consultation is long" — I actually think that time matters most.

03

Criterion 2 — do they open OR CCTV?

One question asked carefully these days is "Is there CCTV? Can I see the footage?" With anxiety about surgical accidents and trust in medical staff continuing, many more people now ask about CCTV installation and disclosure.

We have CCTV installed and operating in the OR, and on request you can view footage containing yourself only. Whether you can be operated on in an honest, transparent environment without unnecessary worry can also be a criterion for choosing a hospital.

04

Criterion 3 — do they choose materials by case?

The last criterion is material selection. It's not needed for every case, but under certain conditions rib cartilage becomes a necessary material.

  • When revision is needed
  • When skin is thick and strong support force is needed
  • When the tip has collapsed or the support structure is very weak
  • When you want the line not to collapse over time
MaterialTraits and limits
SiliconeHelps as an implant that holds form, but has structural limits in firmly supporting the tip or preventing collapse
Ear cartilageWith thick skin or high support needs, the shape can loosen over time or the desired line may be hard to make
Autologous rib cartilageAutologous cartilage harvested from the rib tip of the chest — advantages of abundant volume, high strength, and being one's own tissue

In these cases, ordinary silicone and ear cartilage alone may fall short.

Autologous rib cartilage is the material actively used in such cases.

Summary — remember these three criteria

  1. 01Whether they can design for you
  2. 02Whether CCTV is disclosed
  3. 03Careful material selection

Choosing after checking these three can reduce regret when picking a rhinoplasty clinic. Especially so if you're searching in a hospital-dense area like around Sinsa Station.

Frequently asked questions

Answers to common questions patients ask before a consultation.

Being famous and doing surgery that fits your face are different matters. Some places standardize design or lack sufficient consultation time — so it's good to check whether they design fresh each time, reflecting face shape·skin·muscle movement.

Our OR has CCTV installed and operating; on request, viewing is possible only for footage containing yourself. For privacy protection, only your own footage can be checked.

Not for every case. But with revision, thick skin, weakened tip support, or when long-term line maintenance matters, silicone·ear cartilage alone may fall short — so autologous rib cartilage is considered.

Responses to treatment and recovery progress vary by individual. Outcomes and side effects vary from person to person. Bleeding, infection, swelling and asymmetry may occur. Please consult our medical team before making a decision.
