Consultation & Candidacy

Will I meet the surgeon directly, or a coordinator first?

Published

Outcomes and side effects vary from person to person. Bleeding, infection, swelling and asymmetry may occur. Please consult our medical team before making a decision.

Your international patient coordinator will typically be your first point of contact — helping arrange your remote consultation, answering logistical questions, and preparing your case details ahead of time. But when it comes to your actual consultation, Dr. Kim Hyung-taek meets with you personally, both remotely and in person.

This matters because surgical planning decisions — technique, design, and any adjustments — are made directly by Dr. Kim, not delegated to staff. Your coordinator supports the process around the surgery, but the medical judgment behind your results comes from the surgeon himself.

Consultation Tip

If you'd like clarification on anything discussed with your coordinator before your consultation, feel free to save your questions for Dr. Kim directly — he welcomes them.

What follows is general guidance. The actual cause and surgical approach are decided only after an internal examination, a CT scan and a review of your previous surgical history.
