Some degree of asymmetry is genuinely normal, both before and after rhinoplasty — virtually no face is perfectly symmetrical, and a small amount of residual asymmetry after surgery isn't a sign anything went wrong. What matters is the degree, not the mere presence, of asymmetry.
Swelling can also temporarily exaggerate asymmetry in the early weeks after surgery, since it rarely resolves at exactly the same rate on both sides — this often improves further as swelling continues to settle. If noticeable asymmetry persists well beyond the normal healing timeline and genuinely bothers you, this is worth discussing with Dr. Kim as part of your follow-up.
