Nasal Tip Refinement

Can the tip be raised without changing the bridge?

Published

Outcomes and side effects vary from person to person. Bleeding, infection, swelling and asymmetry may occur. Please consult our medical team before making a decision.

A

Yes — tip rotation and projection can be adjusted independently of the bridge, provided the bridge doesn't need to change to stay in visual harmony with the new tip position. This is achieved through cartilage grafts and suturing techniques that lift and rotate the tip upward, without touching the bony or cartilaginous bridge above it.

The key consideration is proportion — as the tip rotates upward, the relationship between the tip and bridge line changes, so Dr. Kim evaluates during your consultation whether raising the tip alone will keep your nose looking balanced, or whether a small bridge adjustment is genuinely needed to maintain harmony.

Consultation Tip

During your video consultation, feel free to ask Dr. Kim directly about a tip-only approach versus a combined adjustment — he can walk you through both options and how each would affect your overall proportion. Your final design is then confirmed together during your in-person pre-surgery consultation.
