Yes — rib cartilage is versatile enough to be shaped for structural support in both the bridge and the tip, often within the same surgery. A larger, solid-carved piece is typically used where more rigid structural support is needed (such as a septal extension graft defining tip projection), while finely processed particles, like our Ribfit material, are often used for smoother contouring along the bridge or fine-tuning the tip's shape.

This flexibility is one of the reasons rib cartilage is so often chosen for larger or more complex corrections — a single donor source can supply structurally different pieces for different parts of your surgical plan, rather than needing multiple different materials.
