Is 3D simulation available before surgery?

Published

Outcomes and side effects vary from person to person. Bleeding, infection, swelling and asymmetry may occur. Please consult our medical team before making a decision.

A

Yes. During your in-person consultation, Dr. Kim uses 3D simulation software alongside your CT scan and photos to give you a visual preview of the proposed changes to your nasal bridge, tip, and overall profile.

It's worth understanding that simulation is a planning and communication tool, not a literal preview of your final result — soft tissue, skin behavior, and healing all introduce natural variation that software can't fully predict. Dr. Kim uses the simulation to confirm you're aligned on direction and expectations, while being upfront about where the simulation and the real outcome may differ.

Consultation Tip

Use the simulation session to ask "what if" questions — for example, seeing a slightly higher bridge versus a more conservative one side by side can help you feel confident in your final decision.

What follows is general guidance. The actual cause and surgical approach are decided only after an internal examination, a CT scan and a review of your previous surgical history.
